Boy knew who girl was long before girl knew who boy was. As the story turns out, they were in the same student ward at BYU-Idaho. (Big whoop, I know!) Boy first laid eyes on girl sometime in September, but it wasn't until a dark night in November when they would finally meet. Boy knocked on girl's door and asked if her roommate was home even though he knew she wasn't. Boy still managed to get inside, get girl's number and asked her out for a date in December. Girl said yes. They went on a few casual dates, but girl wasn't sure she was ready for a steady relationship even though boy was.
Fast forward to spring. Girl missed boy. Girl called boy, boy called her back. They went on a walk and enjoyed laughing and catching up over a peach ring snow cone. Boy asked girl if they could gaze at the stars. Girl said yes! They grabbed a blanket and out they went. Girl kept seeing shooting star after shooting star and boy kept missing them because his eyes were on girl. Suddenly a bright flash darted across the sky and the girl exclaimed, "Whoa, did you see that? There's no way you missed that one!" Boy smiled and held girl's hand. Girl loved this boy holding her hand. And boy hasn't stopped holding girl's hand since.
